Eat well. Drink well. Repeat.

Our favourite places in Rouen

Restaurants, bars, cafés and markets, a few steps from Le Cotin Bleu

In Rouen, we enjoy eating well just as much as we enjoy drinking well. And when a great place happens to be only a few minutes’ walk from home, even better.

So here is our very personal selection of restaurants, cafés, bakeries and bars that we recommend to our guests.

Not necessarily the most famous or the most sophisticated — simply places we love and enjoy returning to.

Walking times are approximate from Le Cotin Bleu.

FRENCH CUISINE

La Couronne

≈ 1 min walk · Place du Vieux-Marché

It doesn’t get much more Rouen than this. Founded in 1345, La Couronne describes itself as the oldest inn in France.

A true local institution, worth visiting as much for its Norman cuisine as for the history of the place itself.

Le P’tit Zinc

≈ 2 min walk · Place du Vieux-Marché

Generous, delicious French cooking in one of the loveliest spots in the neighbourhood.

A great option if you want to stay around the Vieux-Marché without necessarily going for a gastronomic dinner.
